Krista’s is a professional and fun Yoga Teacher who’s passion is for all her clients to find mind, body connection. She run’s private lessons for those seeking to feel better in their skin, injury rehibitation, manage mental health and/or seeking pain relief. Her training has been amongst some of the leading specialist for Trauma work and Yoga Therapy. Her work has taken her to schools, community projects and health organisations.
What to Expect from a Class
Each class is crafted and instructed around goals and desires. Classes are tailor made so whether you want to loss weight, develop core strength or de-stress your mind & body each lesson will be designed for your body and Mind and its environment to support growth & heal.
Guided by Krista, she will recommend a program that will work with your goals.
Each lesson will be given simple tools to help integrate yoga into everyday life. Nutrition recommendations and possibly other lifestyle mentoring/guidance will be offered.
This is a dynamic and holistic yoga that is suitable for all levels of flexibility and yoga experience. It unifies aspects of Indian Yoga, Chinese Taoism and Japanese Zen. Classes include a variety of exercises and natural movement with a flowing relationship to the traditional asanas. Practices include purification, strengthening, asana, meridian therapy, meditation and healing. Okido is inspired by the life and teachings from Dr Masahiro Oki who devoted his life to others through his work as a teacher, healer and author.
Foundations of The Practice
Okido Yoga is based on the belief that true knowledge comes from an awakening of deep personal inner wisdom and that this can only be gained through individual experience of the natural laws of Change, Balance and Stability. Its practice addresses four aspects of human development – diet, breath, movement and mind-heart, whilst considering life holistically. It also emphasizes the importance of learning to work with, and for, others as it is not possible to create a balanced life that does not include harmonious and caring interaction within society. Its teachings are understandable and practical in our modern society. Okido Yoga respects the laws of nature and our environment.
Krista consistently arrives on time and is completely prepared for each session. Her classes run smoothly and with focus and patience, a clear reflection of her experience as a yoga instructor. Krista’s enjoyment of the practice of yoga is very apparent in her instruction, in which she incorporates much insight regarding the spiritual and physical benefits of the practice of yoga.
She is an enthusiastic and supportive instructor maintaining a professional demeanour appropriate to a school environment. She is prompt, organized, and is always well prepared. She is especially good at organizing her classes to accommodate the varied expertise levels that one may find in a class of adolescents.

I was brand new to Yoga when we first started having classes with Krista over Skype. I was excited about doing Yoga with you through the internet because it offered the privacy of my home, one-on-one instruction, and the convenience of fitting it into my schedule rather than attending specific class times. Since we started having two 1 hour online yoga lessons each week, I’ve learned a lot about yoga and feel better every day. I really appreciate that you’ve taken the time to design custom yoga sessions depending on how I felt (detox, hip, and lower back sessions). After 22 sessions, I’ve become more comfortable breathing during each pose, my lower back feels better, and it has made me stronger and more flexible. Krista is a bright strong warm intuitive woman who is very passionate about spirituality, yoga and energy. I know Krista through regular private small group yoga classes and a shiatsu massage. She has a lot to offer and I would highly recommend her in all the services she offers.
Krista’s yoga classes are amazing, the difference in my bodies strength and ability has improved so much I could noticeably see a difference in my practice in a short space of time. Friday’s are not the same without krista’s strengthening, empowering, whole body yoga classes. If I could I’d have Fridays every day 😉😉 her classes have done wonders for my body & mind!
